Me and this music thing isn’t new. I used to work at a pre-production studio in my early 20’s. Even before that I was trying my hand at making tracks using my friend Terrell’s RY-30 in college. I got pretty good at tapping out melodies and drum patterns. He even used one of my beats at a talent show. I also was part of a rap group called Braile (intentionally spelled this way) that started with three people, and eventually ballooned out to twelve of us. I feel like wrote a million songs...we all did...but the problem was we couldn’t get beats and at the time had no idea of how to make them. Fast forward a few years and I found myself working at World Citizen Art, where although I was there for my graphic design capabilities, I got the basics for how to manipulate drum machines, synthesizers and a bunch of other pieces of equipment from an amazing producer named Shawn Jackson. One thing leads to another and the next thing you know I'm writing all of this and boom, you're here. Anyway...chec out the tracks. Hope you like 'em.
